This will be the final opportunity to meet eligibility requirements through the practice pathway of the grandfathering period. Physi-cians need to register for the exam through the primary board by which they are certified. Each board administers its own application process. Candidates who have obtained general certification from any of the primary boards and who meet the eligibility requirements established by the AOA will be allowed to sit for the examination until fall 2013. After that time, only candidates from the four cosponsoring boards of Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Neurology and Psychiatry, and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation will be allowed to sit for the examination. Registration dates were not available at press time.<br /> <br /> AAHPM encourages osteopathic physicians to attend the 2012 Intensive Board Review Course or purchase the recording of this year’s course, which will be available in fall 2012 in preparation for the 2013 CAQ examination.
