AAHPM NEWS New Leaders Selected for PC-FACS Earlier this year, AAHPM sought nominations for a new PC-FACS editor in chief as the editor in chief at the time, Amy Abernethy, MD FACP FAAHPM, announced she was transitioning out of her role. That decision gave the Academy the opportunity to review the current process and outline a new editorial process moving forward. The Publications Committee, chaired by Jay Thomas, MD PhD, was asked to spearhead the project. The committee decided to create an editorial team (set up similarly to a journal) and accepted applications for editor in chief, associate editor in chief, senior section editors, associate editors, and ad hoc reviewers. Donna Zhukovsky, MD FACP FAAHPM, was selected to serve as the editor in chief. With the approval of the Publications Committee, she selected Mellar P. Davis, MD FACP FAAHPM, as associate editor in chief, and Drs. This information was reviewed and incorporated into the final version of the new plan, which was approved by the AAHPM Board of Directors at its November 2011 meeting.
