Michelle N. Ogborne, a founding partner with the personal injury law firm, Alcock & Ogborne, PLC, has been fighting to protect the rights of innocent victims since before she entered law school. A graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia, Michelle moved to Arizona in 2003 where she served as the manager and subsequently the director of a Phoenix-area domestic violence shelter and volunteered for numerous organizations and events related to domestic violence awareness. It was her work in the domestic violence community that ultimately led Michelle to receive her law degree from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University. “Accompanying the women at the shelter to court as a victims’ advocate convinced me to pursue a legal career. Those experiences helped me to discover that I wanted to use my skills and passion to advocate for individuals who often get lost in the complexities of the legal system and provide a voice to address their legal needs.” At Alcock & Ogborne, Michelle focuses her skills and experience on personal injury lawsuits, family law and criminal matters involving alcohol and drug offenses. Michelle draws upon the diversity of experiences in her legal career to provide her clients with compassionate and effective legal representation. “My background in products liability and insurance defense litigation has provided me with important insights into how the defense evaluates and litigates cases, which helps me to devise more successful strategies for my clients. I have handled numerous cases that required me to develop a creative approach to problem solving in order to protect my clients’ rights and interests, and I am thrilled to be able to offer that unique perspective to my clients.” Michelle is dedicated to delivering the best results for her clients. “I believe in fighting inequities and helping individuals navigate through the complex legal system during difficult times in their life. By focusing on the individual and their unique legal issues and needs, my goal is to help my clients recover the damages that they deserve as quickly as possible.” She is also sensitive to the fact that when an individual is dealing with a legal issue, it often impacts every facet of their life. She often draws upon her personal and professional experiences to help her clients seek out resources to address any medical, psychological or other needs they may have. “I pride myself on my ability to provide support and compassion during a difficult time in my clients’ lives and helping them to get the recovery and closure they need to start anew.” Michelle added, “at Alcock & Ogborne, our clients can expect the results that they would get from a large law firm, but with the personal attention that you can only get from a small law firm.”
