If you are not familiar with this concept then irecommend the Book “Raving Fans” by Ken Blanchard & Sheldon Bowles. In this book the authors note that, “People expect bad goods and rude service. Give’em junk and they’re not surprised. Just what they expected. As long as the abuse isn’t any worse than they expected, they’ll be back for more.” Because of this the authors seek to help you and i not only meet the low expectations of our customers but exceed them; blow them away about how much you value them. Don’t create return customers; instead create raving fans. Make the product you create be more than they were expecting. Our goal should be to give them more service, more product, more care and respect. Take time to value them since they are paying for your service. Image your clients saying how low their expectations were before they walked in your door, but how wrong they were because their expectations were blown out of the water by how they were valued and treated. Raving Fans are people who feel like they underpaid and you over-delivered for the service they received. I highly recommend this book to you and encourage you to find ways to raise the bar in your legal practice. This is something we seek to do with every issue of our magazine.
