Jones Becomes Newest Member of the Kentucky Court of Appeals Governor Steve Beshear appointed Allison Jones to the Kentucky Court of Appeals’ 6th Appellate District, Division 1 to fill the seat vacated by Kentucky Supreme Court Justice Michelle Keller. Judge Jones was sworn in on July 12, 2013 in Frankfort at the Kentucky Court of Appeals main office by Chief Judge Glen Acree. Judge Jones’s chambers are located in Newport, Kentucky at the Campbell County Judicial Center. Prior to serving on the Court of Appeals, Judge Jones presided over workers’ compensation claims as an administrative law judge for the Commonwealth of Kentucky. She also served as a staff attorney for the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Kentucky for more than five years. She was also a former law clerk for U.S. District Court Judge John G. Heyburn II of the Western District of Kentucky.
